Illini Basketball Game

Mike saw a few days ago that U of I was selling $5 basketball tickets for the 27th. They were playing some unknown small school, which we thought would be perfect for Andrew's first game. We drove down Saturday and checked in to our hotel next to the arena. Andrew had a blast at the game, but the hotel was not the highlight of the trip. Ha! Andrew didn't want to sleep, so he kept turning the lights on, and he was super excited about the whole trip. He was so excited during the game that he was yelling out when everybody was quiet. He would yell "defense" or "Go Illini", and it was adorable. Illinois was up by 50, and we asked him if we should walk back to the hotel, and he said he wanted to stay until the very end. He can't wait to go to another basketball game. We are going to see if we can find a high school one to go to soon. It's just so much fun, because Mike and I are such huge sports fans, that it makes it even more fun now that he is joining in!

Christmas Day

On to Mike's parents' house....

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Dad and Myrna came over to our house for Christmas Eve this year. As usual, Andrew had his guests play every board game he owns.

Getting ready to put out his reindeer food...

Carrots for the reindeer on the deck (we need to cover all bases)...

Cookies and milk (We had to leave out the sugar cookies, because Andrew wanted to save the peanut butter ones for himself):

Santa and his elves got to work...
