Andrew's Art Gallery

Last weekend, Andrew's preschool had an art gallery and a song to sing for us. I, of course, was totally pumped. Anytime there is a "preschool first", I get very excited!

When he sang his song, he surprised us all my singing the loudest of all. For being so quiet, he sure likes to sing! Since he missed both classes the weekend before he had to sing due to being sick, I mentioned to his teacher beforehand that I was afraid he wouldn't know the words. She laughed and said that Andrew likes to sing the song so loudly that kids in class plug their ears when he sings. When it was time to sing, he certainly knew the words! One parent commented later that she liked how he really got into the song and sang so loudly for everybody to hear. It was so cute!

That's his little head poking through in the way back.

Next it was on to the art gallery...

Andrew's drawings from when Prayer Bear stayed at our house. The pictures are of Prayer Bear riding on the dog's back, blowing up a balloon, and dunking a basketball. He had a nice stay.

I think Andrew was a little under the weather, because he wasn't feeling well, but he still had a good time. After being sick for 2 weeks (and me, too--ugh!), I took him to the doctor Friday, and he has an ear infection (his first one ever!) and a sinus infection. He is on antibiotics now and doing much better. Hopefully all this sickness will go away and it will warm up a bit!

Valentine's Day

Andrew went to his first Valentine's Day party at preschool this year, and he loved it. Instead of doing valentines, the class did a valentine book exchange, which was really cute!

He brought some valentine balloons for the kids at daycare, which were a huge hit. He also brought home lots of goodies from all the wonderful parents over there.

He named this little guy "Paradise"

He also got a couple fun things from mom and dad, of course...:)

On MLK day, Mike and I took Andrew to see the Icehogs play, and Kaden and Peyton came to watch the game, too!

He also had a snow date with this friends last weekend, which I think was the highlight of his week.

He also had an exciting trip to the dentist. He did NOT want his teeth cleaned, and he was literally screaming, "Mom, please help me!!" though the entire place. It was horrible. They had 4 people hold him down while I sat with him in a private room (as not to alarm the other little patients). However, all was well 15 minutes later when  he got to hang his name on the "No Cavity Wall" again, and they awarded him some bath paints.

Doesn't he look so happy? :) :)

A few other fun shots from the past month...

He plays A LOT of basketball in his room

There's the bath paints!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2015! We had our usual "go to bed at 10" on New Years Eve, and we have just been getting back into the swing of things these last two weeks.

We finally had our first snow last week, and Andrew has really been looking forward to going sledding. This picture makes me laugh, because it looks like we are just sledding on grass, but it wasn't too bad!

First snow angel!

Andrew asked if he could take a pic of me making a snow angel.

We also started gymnastics and basketball up again. This is Andrew's first gymnastics class where the parents don't come in and help, and he did a great job! Usually he likes to keep me close to his side.

Last week he missed his first day of preschool ever, as they called me about an hour in and said he wasn't looking well. He was actually upset that they called me, and he started to cry when I got there. The assistant teacher told me that he kept insisting that they not call me. Ha! He loves school and doesn't want to miss out. When we got home, we read some books, and he fell asleep, which is extremely rare for him.

He was feeling better in no time, though. :)
