Last Day of Preschool

Well, Andrew's first year of school has come to an end, and he loved it more than I would ever guess! He cannot wait to be in the 4 year class this fall. He sees the kids in that class as the "big kids".

Here he was on his first day back in September.

His class put on a "closing ceremony" for parents and grandparents.

He has the cutest singing voice ever. One of my favorite videos... :)

His teachers created a really neat memory book for each child from the past year, which is a definite keepsake!

Cardinals Baseball

Yep! Another sport! Andrew started baseball a few weeks ago with the Y. They are completely unorganized and so frustrating, but this should be the last year we go through them for baseball (they are one of the only ones that do only 4 year olds!)

Andrew is on the "Cardinals". He played his very first game against the "Cubs" this week.

They are just too cute to watch. One kid on his team always hits the ball and then runs after his own ball. Once he gets it, he runs with it to first base.

Here they are trying to get all the players to shake hands after the game. So funny!

May Happenings

Nothing too exciting on this go-around, but I want to make sure I keep active on here or else I just end up with too many pictures to post!

We have been trying to get outside on the nice days and find fun things to do on the cold days...you know how May can be!

A trip to Woodfield Mall...checked out Rain Forest Cafe and a place called Yu Kids.

My birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and it was a wonderful day! Thank you to all my family and friends for making it so special! Mike surprised me with roses, and Andrew and Mike made a cute card and flower pot at Dad's Night at Andrew's school.

Also had a nice Mother's Day! I didn't go visit my mom on Sunday, but I went out to visit her about 2 weeks ago. Overall, it gets easier and easier each year!

My Little Hockey Player

I was looking for something active for Andrew to do in the month of April, as there was not much going on, and I saw they had chair hockey class for ages 3 and up at the ice arena. He said he wanted to try it, and so I signed him up for the 4 weeks course. I had no idea he was going to love it so much! Last week was the last week, and he is skating without the chair. He is so determined to go into the next class, which doesn't use chairs. He asked to keep going, so I'm going to do one more month of chair hockey to make sure he is ready for the next class up (Rat Rinks). Hopefully he won't get too serious about it, as I would like him to keep his brain and teeth! Ha!

We can't get him to leave at the end of practice.

Helmet was not a very good fit that week!

Learning how to stand up on skates

Snow angels...his favorite part

We were also able to get in our first mini putting session this year. One of Andrew's favorite things to do. He has been asking about it for months! It will be snowing, and he will ask to go mini putting.

It was also "Pet Month" in Andrew's class at school. Jez was the only pet in his class that could make it. It was pretty entertaining. The kids loved it! I was a little nervous bringing her into a church, but they said I could. HA! The first thing Andrew said to the class was that she could do tricks. She didn't do one thing...not even sit! Too funny! She turned 11 on Saturday. You can't teach an old dog new tricks, right?

I have been dealing with all sorts of neck problems and headaches lately, which is making me want to scream. I had botox again at the pain management center 2 weeks ago, so I am hoping to get some relief soon (they said 3-4 weeks). I have had a ton of luck with it in the past. I have also been teaching four classes for the first time for work, which is not quite as easy as three. A lot of time on the computer. That combined with stress usually doesn't help!

Yesterday, we went to go visit my best friend, Tammy, in the hospital, as she just had her third baby! We can't wait to make Baby Brady part of our lives.

We also took a trip to the Burpee Museum after our hospital visit. They have a really cool fossil exhibit going on this month.
