Big Trucks and Halloween Craft Night

The last weekend of September, I took Andrew up to a Children's Safety Expo that they were having on Saturday. Mike was at work, and it seemed like a nice opportunity to get outside and see some cool things. Andrew got to sit inside a tractor, a police car, and a fire truck. However, I think his favorite part was the bounce house that they had set up there. :)

On Sunday, he got to play with his friend, Lili, which was the highlight of the weekend. We stayed for about 4 hours, and Andrew said he wanted to "stay forever."

Last week, Andrew got sick with croup again and was home most of the week. Two other kids were sick at daycare too, and now the fourth one is out this week with coupe. Poor kids! It just breaks my heart when he says, "Mama, I don't want to be sick. I want to feel better." This week, he has been saying, "Mama, I feel better!" However, he did try to play hooky on Monday when it was time to go back to daycare. I told him he had to go see his friends, and he told me that he was sick and needed to stay home.

Yep, he got a hold of a mama's pen.

On Friday night, he was doing much better, and we decided to go forward with Halloween Craft Night at Tammy's.

Other than that, we have just been enjoying the beautiful fall weather!

Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch...Fall is here!

My favorite time of year is here! Last weekend was a really great weekend. As I mentioned in my post from last week, we spent Saturday morning doing the ALS walk. The Friday night before, I got to see my friend, Nicki, and her daughter, Leah, for a play date. I had not seen Nicki in such a long time, and I had never met her daughter, who is now 2. Andrew and Leah had so much fun together, and Nicki and I had a good chance to talk and catch up.

Later in the day on Saturday, we made our first trip out to the apple orchard. Andrew had actually already been to the apple orchard on a field trip from the week before, so he was pretty excited to play again and eat some more donuts.

On Sunday afternoon, we met Tammy and her kids out at the pumpkin patch after meeting Mike's parents for breakfast.

I also caught him doing a little dance while we there. He loves to dance!
