Last Friday evening, Andrew went with us to Mike's Christmas party for work. They ended up shutting down the branch, and so we had free run of the place. Everybody else brought their kids, and somebody even brought a big screen TV in so the kids could watch holiday cartoon classics. Andrew did not stop smiling the whole time we were there. He wolfed all the food and walked around saying, "Ho, Ho, Ho!" He kept attempting to do handstands/summersalts on the stairs, which people found amusing. We got home in time for me to see the last few minutes of the NIU MAC Championship game.
On Saturday morning, I took him over to make gingerbread houses will Peyton and Kaden. Andrew did a great job of helping Peyton decorate the house they were working on together. Tammy and I were hoping the frosting was edible, because the two of them were getting a taste in here and there.
Sunday the weather was amazing at 68 degrees, which set a new record! We took him to Williams Tree Farm, which I have never been to before. It was the neatest place! While we didn't pick a tree out, there were tons of things to do, including train rides, sleigh rides, animals, shopping, etc.
They also had a Santa Clause you could visit there, and Andrew is LOVING Santa right now. If he sees one, he shouts out, "Ho, Ho!!" We waited in a short line to see him. Here is his face when Mike lifted him up and he saw Santa. Whenever his tongue starts going, it means he is really excited.
His pants just make me laugh so hard here. Poor guy. He is so tall, but so skinny, so it makes clothes buying very difficult when your height is 2T and your weight is 12 months.
Then it was out back where mommy and daddy forgot to bring cash and Andrew couldn't ride the train. He seemed to enjoy the animals, though!
A dog (woof woof!)!
He started saying, "Ho! Ho!" and ran off to see Santa:
After the tree farm, we grabbed some Mexican food at a place nearby. Yum!
When we got home, he was supposed to take a nap, but the toddler bed made the weekend naps non-existent.
That evening, we found out that NIU got into the Orange Bowl--unbelievable!! Go Huskies!
